” Feel Ageless & Thrive “
Are you feeling sad during the holiday season? Do you find it challenging to feel grateful?
I understand the dilemma of feeling gratitude for Jesus, his birth, and the joy of Christmas; and also the feeling of loss of loved ones. It can be a challenge for sure. The sadness can feel overwhelming if you are thinking of past holidays with everyone together feeling joy.
Learning to be grateful will bring joy and peace into your daily life. Let’s start with simple basics.
Let’s focus on the blessings and what we have in our lives. For me, it is my Mom who is still with us even though she is slipping. Our 12 year old dog who has decided he doesn’t want to eat anymore.
What am I doing to feel grateful? My Mom can mostly remember how to play Yahtzee. Tucker still loves french fries (he doesn’t like kale stems anymore – go figure)
Focus on what you DO have. Try to embrace the lovely memories of family and events.
Sometimes, that might look like new events such as volunteering to give to others. Or joining in a group event. Or taking in holiday festivities.
Focus on something good around you or in your life. I have a timer on my phone set for twice a day to remind me to feel gratitude in that exact moment. It is fun and forces me to notice the joy in the moment.
You DO have control over your thoughts and the ripple effect they have on your life. This is a BIG topic and I’m happy to help.

Tip of the Week:
Share your gratitude with others.
Share your gratitude with others in your life. Who helped you in a big project at work? Who accepted the challenge to volunteer on a project you have committed? Who did you share a smile with today? Who did you thank for opening a door?
It’s amazing how this can be a bright spot in your day.
Question of the Week:
What are you most grateful for right at this moment ?
Please share this newsletter with 3 people you care about who are busy, on the go, and want to eat healthy.
